Fish Eye

In his humanlike form Fish's Eye comes across as androgynous, with delicate, feminine features set against a thin, flat build. His long wavy blue hair falls past the shoulder blades in a loose ponytail tied with a red bobble, turning turquoise toward the ends, and a single lock arcs across his face down to the collarbone. A gemstone rests in his forehead, his ears taper to elf-like points, and two streaks, one purple and one indigo, mark his left cheek.

He accessorizes with dangling earrings of orange balls and green tassels and wears a puffy, ribbed light-blue jumpsuit cut in a deep V that reveals a printed pink fish skeleton. His high-heeled boots are light blue with neon-pink toes and heels, and his webbed, scaly hands end in long nails painted pink. His original animal form is a lionfish, its light-blue body banded with green, its dorsal, anal, and caudal fins white and dotted with green, and its pectoral fins white with red stripes.

Where Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye chase women, Fish's Eye only ever pursues men, favoring those he finds handsome. His usual method is to make a man fall for him before revealing himself, drawing out the target's Dream Mirror to search it for Pegasus. He carries an open hatred of cats, panicking and bolting at the sight of Diana and even scheming to wipe them out should the Circus triumph, and he holds a similar grudge against carrots. Above his other feelings sits a genuine attraction to Mamoru, which eventually leads him to doubt whether he and his partners were ever truly meant to be fully human, since they lack the beautiful dreams that real people hold. In a fight he flings throwing knives, though his aim is notably unreliable, and he can also wield a sword, snare enemies in a net, fire a stunning water beam, and teleport through a hoop of water.

Zirconia grants Fish's Eye a human form from a fish by way of a magic orb. Whenever the Sailor Guardians move against him he summons a Lemures to hold them off, and his summoned monsters are always male, in contrast to those of his partners. His hunt for Pegasus spans five separate attempts, and the Lemures he calls up include Tsunawataro, Gomumario, Mawashitaro, Kurumiwario, Shufflefuruo, and Tobihaneru. During a college festival he decides to woo Makoto, though he finds no Pegasus within her Dream Mirror and leaves her to the Guardians.

His growing love for Mamoru changes everything. After Mamoru rejects him, he peers into his dreams, finds no Pegasus, and spares him rather than killing him as he had his earlier victims. Wandering the town in low spirits, he is found by Usagi, who invites him home, where their shared mannerisms lead him to realize she is Sailor Moon and that Chibiusa is the one hiding Pegasus. He tells Zirconia he knows whose dreams conceal Pegasus but withholds the name.

Zirconia's spying eyeball Zircon, however, has watched him with Usagi, and Zirconia wrongly concludes Usagi is the holder and sends Hawk's Eye after her. Held back by Tiger's Eye, Fish's Eye breaks loose and follows. As Hawk's Eye extracts Usagi's Dream Mirror, Fish's Eye blurts out a plea to release Sailor Moon, exposing her identity. At that moment the Lemures Mr. Magic Pierrot, sent by Zirconia to erase the Trio, appears and destroys Usagi's mirror. When Pierrot turns an attack on Fish's Eye, Hawk's Eye throws himself in the way and is struck down.

Enraged, Fish's Eye and Tiger's Eye retaliate, but Pierrot deflects them, warping their weapons into a snake and butterflies. The two then smash the orb that made them human, surrendering the power Hawk's Eye had passed to them before dying, and rebuild Usagi's Dream Mirror while summoning Chibiusa to the scene. Usagi and Chibiusa transform and destroy Pierrot, yet the loss of their human power kills Fish's Eye and Tiger's Eye. Before he fades, Fish's Eye admits to Usagi that he was the person she had befriended, and the pair revert to a fish and a tiger. Pegasus then restores them to life and to their human forms, gives each a Dream Mirror of their own, and brings them to a crystal forest in the dream world of Elysion.
