Jadeite

His look carries over directly from the manga. In the anime he is drawn with blond hair and blue eyes, dressed in the standard grey uniform of the Shitennou accented in red and paired with maroon boots that climb to the knee.

From the outset Jadeite carries himself with confidence, favoring a hands-on approach and often inserting himself directly into his schemes. He excels at disguise, slipping into countless human personas, yet his pride proves his undoing: he consistently underestimates Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Mars, who unravel every plan he devises and destroy his Youma.

Jadeite's chief aim is to collect human energy to rouse the Dark Kingdom's ruler, Queen Metalia. He studies human behavior, reports his ideas to Queen Beryl for approval, then sends out a Youma in human guise to gather energy, luring crowds with cursed goods like charmed jewelry, clocks, and good-luck charms or with draining services such as relaxation pods and tarot readings. To run these plots he assumes a string of aliases, posing as a radio host called J Dite, a gym instructor, a talent-contest host, a Hikawa Shrine caretaker, and an amusement-park guard, employing telekinesis, illusions, teleportation, and energy harvesting along the way.

Eventually Thetis, one of Beryl's personal Youma who is fond of him, proposes a romantic cruise scheme, which Sailor Moon, Mercury, and Mars foil while killing Thetis. Beryl, furious that he used her Youma without leave, gives an ultimatum: slay the guardians or face Eternal Sleep. Desperate, Jadeite challenges the three to a duel at Haneda Airport at one in the morning, threatening to burn Tokyo otherwise, and replaces the arriving police with mud imitations. After Sailor Mars torches the fakes with Fire Soul and reveals their identities, Jadeite seizes control of nearby airplanes to hunt them. Tuxedo Mask intervenes and appears to be killed, but the guardians rally, using Sailor Moon as a decoy while Mercury's Shabon Spray blinds him and Mars turns the jets against him with Akuryo Taisan. He dodges a finishing tiara throw and teleports back to Beryl, only to be sentenced to Eternal Sleep and sealed in crystal, with Nephrite named as his replacement. Tuxedo Mask, it turns out, survived. In the video game Another Story, Rei receives Jadeite's Yin stone and travels to Tibet seeking its Yang counterpart, falling for a man conjured from the people's prayers in Jadeite's image.
