History

On one occasion Kamekichi slipped away while his tank was being cleaned. Shin later came across the wandering turtle and brought him back. The name joins 'kame,' the word for turtle, with 'kichi,' which signals good luck, and it later prompted Motoki to nickname Nephrite 'Nefukichi.' Whether the turtle actually lives at the karaoke spot or in Motoki's own home is never made clear.
