Kuri

Kuri keeps her curly black hair cropped short and is usually seen in the standard Juban Middle School uniform.

Paired almost constantly with Yumiko, she works as a lighthearted comic foil, the sort of everyday friend Usagi banters and jokes with. The two of them exist mainly to give Usagi companionship and a source of rumors before the full Guardian team comes together.

Kuri and Yumiko often pass along whispers about the Dark Kingdom's plots without realizing what they are, and now and then they tag along with Usagi to investigate. She debuts in the seventh episode at the Cinderella Caravan, where she and Yumiko run a pun-heavy comedy bit and Kuri slips into a Kansai accent, only to fall prey to Jadeite's energy-draining scheme; once her energy is restored, Yumiko is puzzled by a dialect she does not recall her friend having. In the eighth episode she joins the classmates who look down on Ami for seeming aloof and superior. The tenth episode has her arrive with Naru to tell Ami and Usagi about strange disappearances near a local shrine. Her final appearance comes in the thirty-sixth episode.
