Mayumi keeps her orange-brown hair short and curly, the very shade her daughter inherited. She favors a purple dress with sleeves and a black stripe running down its middle, accessorized with teal earrings, a gold necklace, and white heels.

True to her profession, Mayumi has a deep appreciation for jewelry, the trade that defines her life at the OSA-P shop.
History
Mayumi earns the unusual honor of being the first regular civilian the anime's villains go after. To gather energy for the Dark Kingdom, Jadeite's Youma Morga seizes her and takes on her form; although Mayumi herself stays offscreen in the debut episode, viewers still learn what she looks like.
A later flashback in episode 23 shows her presenting Naru with a rare crystal that gleams silver. Naru mistakes it for the Silver Crystal and steals it to hand over to Nephrite, then posing as Masato Sanjouin. Mayumi returns in episode 43, when Oniwabandana assaults both mother and daughter, and again in episode 47 as the Cardian Vampir preys on Naru. Curiously, despite being singled out for impersonation, her own energy is never drained, the reverse of what happens to her daughter.
