Momoko Momohara is one of Chibiusa's dearest friends at Juban Public Elementary School, sharing that spot alongside Kyuusuke Sarashina. An enthusiastic, romance-obsessed grade-schooler, she recurs across several anime seasons and became notable among fans for a mid-series makeover of her hair and eye color.
Her core look carries over from her manga counterpart, but the anime famously altered her palette partway through. Across the R and S seasons she was drawn with brown hair and matching eyes, dressed in a red qipao. By SuperS she had grown a touch taller and was given purple hair and eyes along with a ruby kimono and red shoes. The switch happened because the production originally had no official coloring to work from and simply guessed; once the Short Stories manga finally published her canonical hues, the staff corrected the design to match.
She counts among Chibiusa's tightest classmates and is almost always keen to spend time with the group. Rather than approaching things warily, she throws herself at them with eagerness and high spirits. Romance fascinates her, and she picks up crushes readily, often growing quite emotional over matters of the heart. She speaks her mind freely and tends to react in big, dramatic ways to whatever is happening around her. For all that she can get lost in her own excitement, she stays loyal and genuinely cares how her classmates are doing, though being easily swept up by admiration or first impressions sometimes lands her in a muddle.
During the R season she fell under the control of the Boule Brothers, Achiral and Chiral, who twisted her into resenting Chibiusa until one of Chibiusa's moonbeams set her right again. She resurfaced with a smaller part in the S season. When SuperS came around, she was singled out by VesVes of the Amazoness Quartet, who sought to pull her Dream Mirror. Beyond these turns she pops up across the original anime, the manga, and Sailor Moon Crystal, a persistent presence for a background child character. Her nickname Momo is a natural clipping of her name, and the peach kanji sitting in both her given and family names ties her to the reading peach child. English dubs have variously called her Melissa and Melanie.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....

During the R season, Momoko Momohara fell under the control of the Boule Brothers, Achiral and Chiral, who twisted her into resenting Chibiusa until one of Chibiusa's moonbeams restored her to normal.
