Sailor Chaos

In common with all guardians she keeps a humanoid shape and the signature sailor collar, but where a tiara would sit she bears an astrological mark on her brow, and a crown-like headpiece recalls the one Sailor Galaxia wears. Long red locks frame pale skin, red eyes, crimson lips, and turquoise shadow across the lids, while her hands end in sharp grey talons. A large red gem rests at her chest, and a matching choker may echo the symbol on her forehead, though the art leaves it uncertain.

The dominant motif is serpentine. A pair of great snakes slide out from beneath her collar down to the hips, more coil through the headdress, and her arms appear sheathed in them as well. Her legs and back were never drawn.

Everything known about her temperament is read secondhand through Cosmos, who paints her as savage, destructive, and utterly without warmth. That cruelty tracks with the raw form of Chaos and with the repeated slaughters she is said to have carried out across the galaxy.

She represents the final fruit of Chaos working through Shadow Galactica, Chaos remade as a genuine star. Eternal Sailor Moon managed to stop that rebirth in her own era, yet the victory did not hold. Ages later she climbs out of the Galaxy Cauldron with the Chaos Crystal burning at her center, spreading disaster and death without end.

Worn down by defeat after defeat, Sailor Cosmos gave up believing she could ever win. She kept returning in memory to the day she faced Chaos at the Cauldron, deciding that destroying both Chaos and herself then might have spared the future its agony. That regret drove her back through time to persuade her younger self to make the sacrifice, only for Cosmos to conclude her first choice had been right and leave the past untouched. After Chaos fell at the Cauldron, Cosmos described this future enemy to the Sailor Quartet before returning them to Crystal Tokyo, then set off for her own age with fresh resolve and a new plan. What happens when the two meet again, and what becomes of the universe, is left open.
