Appearance

Tanned skin, dark brown eyes, and scarlet hair that reaches her hips define Sailor Lead Crow. A golden star run through by a single black feather rests at her brow, while triangular red studs hang from her ears. Her costume builds on a brown one-piece with a corseted black front, echoed by a collar and boots in the same brown, and red briefs match her choker. Feather-like black panels flank the swimsuit and dark plumage settles on each shoulder, and the Galactica bracelets encircle her wrists as they do every Animamate. This design follows her manga look closely, though the animators dropped the large crow wings she sports on the page.

Personality

Domineering and relentless, Sailor Lead Crow bristles whenever a scheme falls apart, and she works with plenty of guile. A warmer streak survives underneath, most visible in the genuine respect and affection she holds for Aluminum Siren despite their outward competition.

History

Lead Crow enters the story beside Aluminum Siren just as Galaxia is threatening Iron Mouse with disposal for repeatedly failing to deliver a genuine star seed. Once Iron Mouse is destroyed, the two newcomers inherit her assignment. Posing as Akane Karasuma, a talent agent tied to the Ginga TV network, Lead Crow combs the city for promising Star Seeds and extracts them together with her partner.

When Galaxia later executes Aluminum Siren over a star seed that proved false, Tin Nyanko backs the verdict and accuses the fallen Animamate of lying. Forced into a new pairing, Lead Crow finds Tin Nyanko abrasive and openly disrespectful toward Aluminum Siren's memory. The two quarrel constantly, even in front of the baffled Guardians, and Tin Nyanko once binds Lead Crow so she can chase a true star seed alone.

Lead Crow's breakthrough comes from Aluminum Siren's diary, which recorded Sailor Moon's real identity. The clue leads her to Juban Public High School, where she overpowers the Guardians, corners Sailor Moon, and threatens to loose a miniature black hole across the campus unless she surrenders. She does draw out the Star Seed, but Tin Nyanko betrays her with a sudden blow, knocking the black hole's container from her grip. The unleashed void swallows Lead Crow along with Usagi and Chibi Chibi. As she vanishes she offers a final apology to Aluminum Siren and a promise to rejoin her soon, while Tin Nyanko lingers to mock her one last time.
