Appearance

Apsu operates as the head of the Oppositio Guardians beneath the Hell Destiny banner. Late in the game she abandons her original shape entirely: when the entity called Sin presents its body to her, the two fuse into a towering being known as the Deity of Destruction, the form she wears as the story's final boss.

Abilities

Her personal arsenal centers on Black Sun, her signature strike, backed by Sonic Wave, which lulls foes to sleep, and Toxic Mist, which numbs whatever it touches. Once merged into the Deity of Destruction, she wields her most devastating move, Fin de Siècle, and gains access to Sin's own Hell's Attack alongside her earlier techniques.

History

Apsu's ambition is to rewrite time itself, striking the Sailor Moon legend from history so that she may reign over everything. To that end she gathers the Oppositio Guardians and warps events enough to bring back several foes the Sailor Guardians had already defeated. Her plan ends at the Deity of Destruction, the game's last opponent; the Senshi cut the fused being down, and while Sin escapes with its life, Apsu herself does not survive. Her name traces back to Abzu, both a god of the Babylonian creation story and a river that carries the deity's name.
