Personality

The Daimon carries its motoring theme into everything it does, tearing after its quarry on those wheels rather than fighting in any conventional way. Its outfitting echoes another vehicle-styled Daimon, Autobiko, since both sport goggled helmets, scarves knotted at the neck, and exhaust pipes jutting from their backs.

History

Kaolinite created Steering by planting a Daimon pod inside Haruka's automobile, then sent it after the Pure Heart of Kameda, a man who ran a car repair shop. Just as the Daimon tried to slip away with the stolen heart, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune set upon it, and Sailor Moon closed the fight with Moon Spiral Heart Attack. In one memorable dubbed line, Sailor Moon swaps her usual vow to triumph over evil for a jab at the daredevil Evel Knievel. Steering also turns up among the Daimons in the game Sailor Moon: Another Story.
