Three Lights

The act is a three-member singing group fronted by Seiya as leader, with Taiki and Yaten alongside. Each performer carries a signature rose that maps onto an old symbolic trio: Seiya's red rose stands for the sun, Taiki's white one for the moon, and Yaten's yellow bloom for the stars, echoing the Shinto notion of the San Hikari, the three lights of sun, moon, and stars. All three share the given element written as Kou, meaning light, which is where the group takes its name.

Beneath the polished idol image, the group is a means to an end. The members banded together as performers specifically to draw out and reunite with their missing princess, Kakyuu, using their fame and public reach as a way to find her.

Through the series the trio headlines concerts before crowds of screaming devotees. In the anime they are frequently seen performing Nagareboshi He, which debuts at their shows from episode 185 onward. Their following grows enormous, large enough that all four Inner Sailor Guardians count themselves among the fan club. The band finally splits in episode 195, having located their princess and no longer needing to keep searching. Sailor Tin Nyanko seizes on their farewell concert as cover to strike at the Sailor Guardians and go after their Star Seeds.
