Yumemi Yumeno

A long brown braid falls down the right side of Yumemi's body, and her blue eyes usually sit behind glasses. For the episode she wears a matching light blue button-down shirt and skirt, adding a cardigan that is pink outside and lined in yellow for the outdoor scenes.

Yumemi comes across as soft-spoken and reserved, painting under a pseudonym rather than her own name. She seems to carry a quiet awareness of things beyond the everyday, reacting with a wistful sadness to certain images and even sensing something unsettling about Zoisite.

At an exhibition of her paintings, Yumemi meets Usagi and Mamoru and asks the pair to model for her; they agree and realize she is the artist behind the gallery's striking works. Zoisite then attacks and draws out her Rainbow Crystal, turning her into the monster Binah, also known as Veena. Sailor Moon heals her, and the restored Yumemi, newly self-assured, goes on to paint and display a self-portrait. She resurfaces briefly in episode 41, abducted by the corrupted Endymion and freed by Sailor Mercury, glimpsed only in a couple of cameos: once as a missing-artist news item on Ami's television, and again when Ami shatters the Black Crystal and the Seven Great Youma spill out in human form. Her name plays on a phrase for seeing something in a dream.
