Night of Destiny: The Sailor Guardians’ Ordeals

Terrified for Mamoru and the fading Chibiusa, Usagi ignores every plea that Nehelenia's invitation is a trap and flies off alone to confront the queen. Her friends refuse to abandon her and give chase, prompting Nehelenia to devise a scheme that scatters the Super Sailor Senshi and locks them inside illusions in pairs.

At Hikawa Shrine the nine guardians argue over whether to save the prince or protect Usagi, and Setsuna warns that Chibiusa will cease to exist if Mamoru is not freed. A single tear striking the Crisis Moon Compact triggers Usagi's transformation into Eternal Sailor Moon, and she takes flight before Rei can stop her. The others, joined by a weakened Chibiusa, follow through Sailor Teleport, only for Nehelenia to hurl shards from a shattered cup that split the group apart and drop them into her dimension.

Uranus and Mercury land in looping ruins that repeat endlessly, and when their attacks bounce harmlessly off the queen, Mercury sets aside brute force for her Super Computer and goggles. Her analysis exposes the whole scene as an illusion anchored to the Moon, so Uranus fires World Shaking at it, dissolving the fantasy to reveal a bleak dark-red void and a Mirror Paredri decoy that Uranus cuts down with her Space Sword. Mirrors then erupt, and grasping hands drag both guardians inside, freezing them.

Elsewhere, Neptune and Mars drop into a shadowy forest split by two trails; her Deep Aqua Mirror and Mars's ofuda point opposite ways, so Mars yields to the mirror's choice. As they run, Nehelenia snares them within a ring of purple flame that slowly tightens around them.

Usagi reaches the Eternal Sailor Moon form entirely on her own here, without her friends' aid and without passing through Super Sailor Moon first. The episode also stands as the last time she appears as Super Sailor Moon in full. The manga handles Ami's basketball flashback and the guardians' teleport to Elysion quite differently.
