The Base Game

Monster Strike, developed by Mixi under its XFLAG brand, launched in Japan on iOS in August 2013 and on Android in December 2013. Players flick monster tokens across the screen like billiards, bouncing them into enemies for damage, and assemble teams from a large gacha roster for solo and cooperative multiplayer play.

The Sailor Moon Crystal Collaboration

XFLAG announced a limited-time Sailor Moon Crystal crossover event on November 9, 2018, marking the franchise's 25th anniversary. Special event stages let players earn eleven Sailor Moon characters as playable monsters, including the five core Guardians, Princess Serenity, Mamoru as Tuxedo Mask, and Dark Kingdom villains Jadeite, Zoisite, Nephrite, Kunzite, and Queen Beryl.

This was a temporary in-game event inside the existing Monster Strike app rather than a standalone Sailor Moon title. The crossover also extended into real-world promotion, with XFLAG's Shibuya and Shinsaibashi stores in Tokyo running themed food and merchandise tie-ins during the event.
