Overview
Featured only in the 1990s anime, the Celestial Map served Nephrite from the seclusion of his private mansion. It made its first appearance in the fourteenth episode, tied to his method of predicting where he would strike next.
Function
To use the map, Nephrite would chant toward the heavens and ask the stars to grant him their power. A vision of the Milky Way then spread across the sky above him, and a shaft of light from the chosen constellation would descend onto his head, revealing to him the identity of his next target.
Notable Users
Nephrite alone relied on the Celestial Map. He ultimately gave it up to transform it into the Black Crystal, trusting that the new gem would steer him toward the Legendary Silver Crystal. The map never returned in its original shape afterward, and the Black Crystal it became was destroyed by Sailor Mercury before the season closed.
