Overview
Standing as the third brooch Usagi Tsukino receives for becoming Sailor Moon, the Cosmic Heart Compact arrives during the S storyline together with the Spiral Heart Moon Rod. The transformation it powers is triggered by the cry Moon Cosmic Power, Make Up.
Function
In the anime the brooch takes the shape of a red heart edged in gold, topped with a small crownlike notch. Four gems sit along its inner borders leading to the center, where a magenta stone glows whenever Usagi calls on it to transform. The Crystal continuity gives the item extra defensive uses beyond transformation, shielding Usagi from Cyprine's mind control and raising a floating barrier against the newly awakened Mistress 9. In Sailor Moon Eternal it changes form once more, becoming the Crisis Moon Compact.
