Overview

Function

The tiara existed to prop up a lie, convincing everyone watching that Minako was the true princess and that the Silver Crystal sat within her crown. Venus kept a case of identical duplicates for the ruse, and when Nephrite finally seized one, she triggered it to detonate rather than surrender anything real, making clear she would never hand over the genuine crystal so easily.
