Across the manga, the 1990s anime, Sailor Moon Crystal, and the stage musicals, Sailor Mercury sometimes slips on this see-through blue visor, known equally as the Mercury Goggles. Its whole purpose is analysis, giving her a clearer read on any battle.
Function
The visor works as a head-mounted display that sits over her eyes and streams useful readings to her. It pairs with her Super Computer and reports on the environment and on enemies while a fight unfolds or whenever she wants to size up a situation. A light touch of her earring brings it into existence, and it forms one component of Hyperspatial Sphere Generate. The manga and Crystal versions add a microphone, and the manga design wears more like safety glasses than the visor shape used elsewhere.

Sailor Mercury is the exclusive wearer. The item debuts in the manga in Act 7 and reaches the 90s anime in the episode Usagi's Disaster, Beware of the Clock of Confusion. Naoko Takeuchi, in the Materials Collection, likened its data display to the one seen in The Terminator, and an S.H.Figuarts figure later shipped with a version modeled on the 90s anime.
