Act 10 Moon

Reaching the ruins of the Moon Kingdom, the Sailor Guardians encounter the spirit of Queen Serenity, who recounts their former lives across the age of the Silver Millennium and describes the evil that once brought that shining world to ruin.

After Usagi's father crafts the Silver Crystal into a necklace for her, the Guardians pool their strength and travel to the moon, where the wreckage of the old kingdom stretches before them. Sailor Venus draws a sword from a pedestal near the Crystal Tower, summoning a hologram of Queen Serenity, who explains how she sealed away a great evil and arranged for everyone to be reborn, then urges the Guardians to end that threat for good while assuring Sailor Moon that Mamoru still lives.

In the Dark Kingdom, Kunzite finds his fallen brothers turned to stone and remembers that Tuxedo Mask is their lost master Endymion. Overhearing Beryl and Metalia discuss the crystal fragment now lodged in Tuxedo Mask, he wavers in his loyalty, only for Beryl to seize control of his mind. He freezes civilians to bait the Guardians and chases Sailor Moon beyond the atmosphere, where their combined Sailor Planet Power destroys him, his remains returning to Beryl as a stone. Beryl then revives Endymion, arms him with the generals' stones, and orders him to kill Princess Serenity and steal the Silver Crystal, leaving him to walk the streets of Tokyo in ordinary clothes.

This tenth chapter of the Dark Kingdom arc was written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi. A line Beryl uses to call upon Queen Metalia is rendered in Hebrew, and the array of planetary symbols shown as Luna prepares the teleport corresponds to the Inner and Outer Guardians along with several future members of the Sailor Quartet.

A small printing error appears in the Shinsouban edition of the chapter, where the word "its" is set as "it's" twice on a single page.
