Summary

This chapter serves as the closing installment of the Black Moon arc, resolving the long confrontation with Death Phantom, the deeper identity behind Wiseman. Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon each pour their newly amplified moon energy into a single, far more overwhelming Moon Princess Halation, and the shared strike finally erases the enemy. Once peace returns, Neo-Queen Serenity hands upgraded planetary powers to the Inner Guardians and presents Sailor Moon with a new brooch to match her growing strength.

Key Events

Sailor Moon releases her power and Nemesis fades from the sky, carrying her and Tuxedo Mask away with it. Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion revive in the future along with the coming generation of guardians. After Chibiusa embraces her mother, the queen reveals that the Nemesis they had been battling was merely an illusion, while the genuine one waits at the far edge of the system, most likely where the two vanished fighters were dragged. Serenity entrusts her daughter with a Cutie Moon Rod, and the Space-Time Key lets Chibiusa jump directly to Sailor Moon's side.

Near the real Nemesis, which now behaves like a black hole, Sailor Moon feels the Silver Crystal pulling in enormous conflict. Encouraged by Tuxedo Mask and joined by Chibi Moon, the pair raise their Cutie Moon Rods and unleash a combined Moon Princess Halation that annihilates Death Phantom together with his weapons and the Crystal Star compact. In Crystal Tokyo, Neo-Queen Serenity calls up the Spiral Heart Moon Rod, mends the wounded city, and grants Sailor Moon the Cosmic Heart Compact while strengthening Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus.

The queen sends the Inner Guardians toward the Gate of Space and Time, declining a face-to-face meeting out of fear it could alter history. As the group departs, Usagi glances back and finds the queen doing the same, and the others glimpse their future selves. Returning to their own era, Usagi and Mamoru part with Chibiusa, who leaves behind the Spiral Heart Moon Rod. Soon after, the small girl tumbles from the sky once more, echoing their very first meeting, carrying a letter that announces she will now train beside them as a true guardian.
