Act 28 Infinity 2 Ripples

In this installment Sailor Moon defeats a Daimon and spots two mysterious figures who oddly resemble a guardian and Tuxedo Mask. The story then shifts to Mount M, site of a Mugen Academy student camp, where the Inner Guardians clash with Eudial, one of the Witches 5 serving the Death Busters.

Sailor Moon fires the Spiral Heart Moon Rod at the descending creature, which shrinks back into an ordinary cat. In the distance the guardians notice two shadowed figures slipping away from the scene. Sailor Chibi Moon introduces herself to Hotaru Tomoe, the girl she just rescued. Once home, Hotaru suffers another of her recurring attacks, and her father calms her with a strange crystal. The guardians debate whether the fleeing pair might be fellow warriors or newly arrived foes.

The group travels to Mount M to visit Rei, who has gone there to train, though many Mugen Academy students have also gathered on the mountain. During the night Rei and Makoto wake to see the campers circled around an enormous fire, where their leader commands them to surrender their souls to Pharaoh 90, and the souls begin tearing free of their bodies. Mars and Jupiter break in to stop the ritual, confronting the speaker, Eudial of the Witches 5, who twists into a monstrous shape. The commotion draws the rest of the team, and Sailor Moon destroys Eudial. As they take stock, the guardians sense another watcher and glimpse a figure resembling one of their own.

The chapter brings the first appearances of Professor Tomoe and Eudial's civilian identity. New to the series here are the Moon Prism Power henshin phrase used by Chibi Moon, plus the Moon Spiral Heart Attack and Mars Snake Fire techniques.
