Mafuyu Seba

Of ordinary height and build for a teenager, Mafuyu keeps his dark blue hair short with bangs that hide most of his face, beneath sharp brows and sunken dark eyes. A surgical mask is a near-constant fixture, worn to fend off germs, appearing teal or light green on screen and white on the page, and he sometimes swaps it for a teal gas mask. His clothes run to a long-sleeved shirt with an open collar in dark purple, cargo pants in teal held by a black belt, and the boots he treats as weapons.

Mafuyu is a loud and unashamed germaphobe who goes to absurd lengths to steer clear of anything dirty and recoils in horror when he cannot. He refuses to fight with his hands rather than soil them, relying on the blades in his footwear instead. Films bore him, so unlike Shin he skips the movies themselves in favor of Vtuber recaps, much to Kanaguri's annoyance. For all his fussiness he stays remarkably level in combat, even when death looms, and his timid streak lets figures like Shin sway him easily, despite the 'old man' jabs he throws early on.

Speed is Mafuyu's chief asset, quick enough that Shin can barely slip his strikes without falling back on clairvoyance. His germaphobia pushed him to master combat on his feet alone, and his skill with the hidden blades is sharp enough that a veteran like Shin had to take him seriously. The weapons themselves are a pair of black sneakers, each concealing two long spikes that his brother Natsuki designed, deployed by yanking a pin at the heel.
