Saw's blunt, overpowering assault keeps Shin and Lu on the back foot inside the wrecked store. In a desperate moment Shin's psychic sense sharpens, allowing him to sink into a mind and read the motions coming next, and the collapsed Lu snaps awake at the scent of alcohol. Together they finally bring the towering convict down. Elsewhere, ORDER's Shishiba and Osaragi are carrying out their own assignment to kill an escaped prisoner. Pausing to eat a pork cutlet bowl for luck and pray at a shrine, Osaragi is set upon by the death row killer Dump.

Shin masters the deeper form of his ability mid-battle and lands a decisive blow, and Lu, roused by the ethanol she had drunk, sends Saw flying. The pair overcome Saw and, drained, drift off to sleep once he is beaten. The fallen Saw is then found by Hyo. Meanwhile Osaragi trades savage hits with Dump at the shrine grounds, slamming her against a statue base until it cracks, before the confrontation escalates further.

The adaptation leans hard into Shin's growth, adding a running exchange with Saw before exhaustion locks up his body and reframing Wutang's coaching on readiness potential as lines Shin recalls while dodging. It also drops Lu tossing water over Saw, so he never appears soaked when struck with the ladder. The Osaragi clash gains extra staging, including a coin landing on Dump's head and a swapped prop where Osaragi hurls a shrine bell rather than a statue's head. The episode adapts chapters 41 through 44, aired on July 21, 2025, and continues the Death Row Prisoners Arc under the themes Method and Dandelion.
