Chapter 132: The Assassin Exhibit of the Century

Kashima explains to Sakamoto that he once believed Uzuki stood with him on justice, the conviction that turning a blind eye to evil is as damning as committing it. The two shared a goal of dismantling the JAA and building a world free of assassins, yet Kashima has come to see that Uzuki now means to tear down society altogether.

He lays out Uzuki's plan: on October 31, the Okutabi New National Museum of Art will stage the Assassin of the Century exhibit, showing off weapons, notes, and even skeletons. The sitting JAA chairman Sei Asaki will attend, and Uzuki intends to level the whole building that day.

Elsewhere, Heisuke drills his sniping while the memory of a civilian he killed keeps surfacing. His training is cut short when Nagumo, Shishiba, and Osaragi seize him from a car and press him for information about Kumanomi, the assassin who fought and killed Hyo.

Kashima exposes Uzuki's true aim, the destruction of society itself, and reveals the plot to bomb the museum during the October 31 exhibit while chairman Sei Asaki is present. Heisuke, still tormented by killing a bystander, is abducted by Nagumo, Shishiba, and Osaragi, who want everything he knows about Kumanomi.

The chapter belongs to the Assassin Exhibition of the Century Arc and Volume 15, spanning nineteen pages, published on August 28, 2023, in issue 39. It sets the exhibit bombing as the arc's central target and introduces Kamihate by name. Flashbacks bring back Uzuki, Gaku, Carolina Reaper, and Kumanomi.
