Chapter 14

Inside the Dondenkai building, two staffers gossip about the bounty on Sakamoto and how he managed to bring down Boiled, a feat they doubt they could match. Perched above them on the ceiling, Shin and Sakamoto listen in. Shin drops a rope to snatch one man while the other keeps walking, and Sakamoto handles the second when he turns around. As they ditch their jackets, Lu questions the move and Shin claims he simply got tired of wearing it. She asks where the boss is, and Shin, exasperated that she ignored the movie, explains the target sits on the top floor reachable only by a heavily guarded elevator. Taking their cue from the film, the trio scales the exterior from the second floor, slips past a guard checking the window, and tases another before reaching the security room. They knock out and bind the operator watching the distorted monitors, and as they push deeper, Sakamoto recalls advice from the video rental shop owner.

Five hours earlier at the white tower, the Order members share a meal. Hyo presses Nagumo on whether he really met Sakamoto, and Nagumo brushes it off as a name he has not heard in years, which irritates Hyo enough to pull a knife, only for Nagumo to block it with a fork and tell him to save the blade for the main course. Shishiba, unbothered, stabs the head chef while demanding to know why onions ended up in the risotto. Iriya, the JAA's communication coordinator, arrives and remarks on the honor of meeting the full roster, though Hyo points out four members are absent and Shishiba notes it is odd that Takamura failed to appear. Iriya then delivers the assignment: an unknown killer has been eliminating association assassins across more than thirty incidents, costing over 300 million yen, and the association wants the matter resolved with urgency.

Back in the present, Shin tells Sakamoto something feels off because he cannot pick up a single enemy voice. Lu frets that his detector has broken again, and Shin retorts that he heard that. They reach the room and open the door to find Nagumo lounging in a chair surrounded by bodies, greeting Sakamoto with ease.

Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu infiltrate the Dondenkai headquarters using tactics drawn from a movie. They scale the building's exterior and disable guards and the security room operator. A flashback introduces the Order gathering at the white tower, where Iriya assigns them to hunt the unknown killer targeting JAA assassins. The team reaches the top floor and discovers Nagumo seated among a heap of corpses.

Shishiba, Hyo, Osaragi, and Iriya all debut in this chapter, and Takamura is mentioned as the absent Order member. The unknown killer has caused over thirty incidents and losses topping 300 million yen. The installment appears in Volume 2 as part of the Amusement Park Arc.
