Natsuki hurries to Shin's side and is relieved to find only light wounds, the device having done no serious damage. Shin shares that sense of relief, glad they have set Uzuki's scheme back for the moment, though a sudden headache hits him, perhaps a lingering effect of the blast.

The explosion draws every eye in the building. Before Natsuki and Shin can find cover, Samejima, who commands the special defense force, drops on them from overhead and seizes both. Mafuyu and Kaji are likewise rounded up, tightening the trap around the group.

Security cameras catch Toramaru, and Samejima orders the exits locked and her taken by whatever means work. He tells the frightened crowd to ignore the disturbance. Shin pleads that a bomb sits inside Toramaru too and that hurting her could be fatal, but Samejima waves the warning away.

Grasping that lives depend on it, Shin knows they have to reach Toramaru first. Down at the ground-floor entrance, Toramaru, convinced Mafuyu died in the explosion, is paralyzed by fear.

Agents surround her and order her to give up at gunpoint, and she surrenders herself to despair. Then one agent drops without warning, another's weapon falls to pieces in his hands before he too goes down. Earlier, a subordinate had cautioned Nagumo that such moves would only spread panic, and Nagumo answered cryptically that a bashful guest never walks into a silent room. The riddle points to a major arrival, and Sakamoto now steps forward, cutting through the agents and buying Toramaru a reprieve.

Natsuki confirms Shin survived the blast with minor injuries, though Shin is struck by a sudden headache. Samejima, who heads the special defense force, ambushes and captures Natsuki and Shin, while Mafuyu and Kaji are also taken. Toramaru is spotted on the cameras, and Samejima orders the exits sealed, dismissing Shin's warning about her bomb. Cornered agents begin collapsing mysteriously. Following Nagumo's cryptic remark, Sakamoto arrives and rescues Toramaru from the agents.

Part of the Assassin Exhibition of the Century Arc in Volume 17, this chapter takes its Japanese title Osawagi, meaning Uproar, from the chaos the explosion sets loose. It marks the debut of Samejima, commander of the special defense force, and delivers Sakamoto's dramatic entrance into the museum crisis.
