Summary

The action opens inside a speeding vehicle where a badly wounded Taro Sakamoto lies unconscious on a ventilator. Kindaka asks whether Shin Asakura feels anything, and Shin confirms an incoming threat, while Boiled warns from the driver's seat that they will never reach the JCC on schedule at this pace. As Shin tells the group to brace for a fight, Sakamoto's heart monitor spikes with an abnormal electrical reading and a jolt of current races through Hana toward the rear of the van.

A toll booth looms on the highway, and Gozu waits there, sipping calmly from a cup before crashing through the windshield and landing beside Sakamoto with his hands still in his pockets. Impressed that his target endured such injuries, Gozu swats aside Shin's sneak attack and boots him clear through the rear doors, drawing a scream from Aoi. Shin is snatched to safety by a stranger piloting a cherry picker truck. Gozu then readies his Nail Guards, a stun-gun rig that unloads high-voltage shocks, only for Kindaka to ram a palm into his face and hurl him onto the windshield of an oncoming car.

That car belongs to Torres, who gripes about the damage and lines up a Sandblast shot at Kindaka. The cherry picker, now with Shin riding its roof, slams the vehicle off course before Torres can fire. Shin feeds a hose from a water tank pump through the broken window and floods the cabin, leaving Torres and Tanabata gasping. Tanabata answers by striking a D-Chord on his guitar, and the sound shears the roof away so the water bursts free. Kindaka notes that Shin is growing more like Sakamoto, and Shin admits even Slur has said the same. Climbing into the exposed back seat, Gozu cracks that the car is at least clean now, prompting Torres to snap back that a car gets cleaned from the outside.
