His ordeal at the Cartenon Temple, where comrades betrayed him and left him for dead, drove home that kindness invited exploitation. From that point he stopped throwing his life away for any noble cause, leaning into self-preservation and the relentless pursuit of power that forged the fearsome Hunter he became.

Holding the mantle of second Shadow Monarch, Jinwoo reigns as the world's foremost Hunter and one of reality's mightiest beings. His immeasurable strength wrecked the Statue of God with a handful of punches and brought the National Level Hunter Thomas Andre to death's door bare-handed even before his real power awoke, after which he swatted Sillad aside one-handed, dropped Rakan in four blows, and traded hits with Antares. His immeasurable speed blurs past the sight of most rivals, while his immense durability reduced the Ant King's punch to a split lip. Ashborn's inherited power rendered him biologically immortal, so he reshapes his body to appear whatever age he likes, looking roughly thirty after living more than eighty years. The standout among his gifts is accelerated development, a runaway growth rate that builds with each fight and spikes with every win, compressing months of System training into Asia-leading power. He also wields umbrakinesis over shadow and dark, alters and bestows memories by touch, hypnotizes with a finger snap, weaves elaborate illusions, and tears open black-and-purple gates between worlds.
