Combat and Hunter System

Combat is real time hack and slash with dodge rolls, combo strings, and skill cooldowns tied to Jinwoo's Shadow Monarch abilities. A gacha system lets players summon additional Hunters, such as Cha Hae In or Choi Jong In, each carrying their own weapon type and skill kit. Hunter Mode swaps control to these recruited characters for specific stages, and a pity counter guarantees a featured unit after enough summons.

Release and Reception

Netmarble launched Solo Leveling: Arise worldwide on iOS, Android, and PC on May 8, 2024. Critics praised the fluid, responsive movement and varied combat styles but flagged heavy grinding and repetitive missions as weak points next to top-tier gacha titles. The game later spun off a separate premium release, Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive, on Steam and consoles.
