Story and Setting

Karma is built around the Dimensional Gap, an unexplored window inside the Solo Leveling timeline covering a 27 year war among the Monarchs. Netmarble frames the plot as new material written under creator Chugong's guidance rather than a retelling, with returning characters twisted into Mutated or Corrupted Hunters that Jinwoo must fight. Voice actor Troy Baker was announced at Anime Expo 2026 as Antares, the Monarch of Destruction.

Gameplay and Combat

The game uses isometric hack and slash combat with dodge rolling, directional attacks, and weapon swapping across procedurally generated dungeons. A Blessing system hands out randomized run to run modifiers that reshape builds, favoring adaptation over a fixed class system. Summonable Shadow soldiers such as Igris and Iron fight alongside Jinwoo during runs.

Announcement and Release Status

Netmarble first revealed Solo Leveling: Karma in July 2025 and confirmed the second half of 2026 launch window through its Q3 2025 earnings disclosures. It is being positioned as Netmarble's third active Solo Leveling game, alongside the ongoing Arise and Arise Overdrive titles. As of the Anime Expo 2026 panel, no exact release date had been set, with further reveals promised for September 2026.
