Overview

The Current Arc is the twenty-second story arc of SPY x FAMILY and remains in progress, beginning with chapter 137. Summary

Loid is recovering at Berlint General Hospital just as a symposium packed with neurologists convenes there. Suspecting ties between Donovan Desmond and the medical circle Sigmund Authen once belonged to, he wants to work the event himself, but Fiona insists on investigating in his place. Watching Yor fumble at supporting Loid convinces Fiona that her shelved "Neo Strix" proposal, in which she would take over the wife role, deserves reviving. Anya senses the scheme and tails her to sabotage it, only for Fiona to shake her off with candy, leaving the girl lost in the hospital while Yor gives chase.

Digging through records in the administration building, Gerald Gorey tells Fiona that Surjay, once the hospital's director and a name Sigmund had previously brought up, is among the symposium's attendees. She traces his car to the underground garage and confirms he is somewhere inside. Then she notices a wall of bodyguards, recognizes a vehicle belonging to the Desmond family, and freezes: the target of Operation Strix has come to the hospital in person.

Aftermath

The arc is still unfolding, but its opening chapter already repositions the board. Loid is sidelined by his own body for the first time, Surjay emerges as a person of interest tying Sigmund's past to the Desmonds, and Fiona becomes the first WISE operative to cross paths with Donovan Desmond directly since the operation began.
