An-D

Round glasses and a studio disguise define An-D's look throughout the hijacking. To slip inside the Berlint TV Tower he dresses as a Channel OST-TC7 crew member: a dark baseball cap numbered 7, a dark hoodie bearing the TC7 logo on the chest, plain dark pants and shoes, and a pouch strapped at his right hip.

Beneath the cap, short messy hair pokes out at the sides. He is a fairly tall young man, light of complexion, with wide eyes set deep in his face.

An-D's whole identity revolves around his reverence for Five-Year Love Plan. He treats the drama as sacred text and its finale, in which the heroine Emaria loses her memory and marries the wealthy Diff instead of Sam, as a betrayal to be corrected rather than a writer's choice. No alternative reading of the ending is acceptable to him.

For all that fanaticism, he usually comes across as calm and methodical, framing his demands as fair and even generous while armed accomplices back them up. The mask slips only when the finale itself comes up, exposing the raw frustration underneath. He insists his crusade is not political; in his telling he is merely restoring the story to the way it ought to be, though he enforces the effort with threats and gunfire whenever compliance wavers.

As a leader he is genuinely capable, rallying like-minded viewers, coordinating a complicated infiltration, and directing a live production on the fly. He recognizes talent, adapts under pressure, and rewards useful contributions, yet tolerates no deviation from his vision of the story, disregarding personal boundaries and well-being alike. In the end he shows unexpected self-awareness, rejecting the crowd's sympathy and choosing to answer for what he has done.

An-D cherishes the romance between Emaria and Sam, so the broadcast finale pairing Emaria with Diff strikes him as sabotage. He becomes convinced that Ostania's Minister of Broadcasting ordered a last-minute rewrite at the urging of the opera singer Allegrossa, gathers viewers who share his outrage, secures help from sympathetic production staff, and plans an assault on the Berlint TV Tower during the show's live commemorative retrospective.

His group smuggles firearms onto the stage in boxes during the intermission, then seizes the studio on air. Announcing a brief "airing of grievances," An-D warns the nation's leadership against cutting power to the tower and gives the producer one hour to assemble the missing cast. He then stuns everyone with the real objective: a live reshoot of the finale. After the show's director Eiger confirms that Allegrossa's fondness for Diff's actor shaped the altered ending, public sentiment tilts his way, and hijackers, cast, and crew fall into an improbable collaboration, performed live so the Ministry of Broadcasting cannot interfere.

Directing the production himself, An-D drafts Loid Forger as set builder after learning of his stage design experience, casts Yor as the nearly wordless Bumblina on the strength of her resemblance to the character, and promotes Yuri Briar to assistant director when his physical-acting suggestion wins over the audience. His ruthless side surfaces too: he holds Yor at gunpoint when the script's kiss scene is challenged and threatens the actor Martin for straying from it. Martin's improvised confession moves the crowd anyway, and the new ending lands. Refusing the audience's attempts to shield his group from arrest, An-D fires his weapon to silence them, declares that terrorists must accept the consequences of their project, and surrenders. He later appears briefly in Yuri's memories of the incident.
