Cecile Hall

Eden Academy sorts every academic year's students into eight halls that serve as both class groupings and dormitory communities. Cecile occupies the third slot in the numbered sequence, after Specter and Cline and ahead of Wald. Among the current primary school first-years it corresponds to Class 3, a group of 29 students who share a homeroom and a dedicated mathematics classroom during the first term.

Hall staff shape daily life for its members. Henry Henderson, who also teaches history, serves as housemaster and keeps a private residence inside the boys' dormitory, complete with a fireplace, phonograph, sitting area, and windows facing the school grounds. Thomas Austin lives in the boys' building as resident tutor, a dorm mother runs the girls' dormitory, and Mr. Green acts as the hall's custos, a counselor role.

Cecile students feature in several campus events. The hall's first-years staged an impromptu rendition of the school chorus after George Glooman claimed he would be leaving Eden, and Cecile once met Wald Hall in a physical education showcase where rumors of a Stella Star for the standout player proved false.

Commuting first-years include Anya Forger, Becky Blackbell, Connie, and George Glooman, while Damian Desmond, Emile Elman, and Ewen Egeburg board in the hall's dormitory. Alice Paulette, Meg, and a daughter of the Garnett family also belong to the class, alongside students known only by name such as Bryan Paul, Connor Hume, Edward Perkshire, and Sara Seymour. Among Eden alumni, both Henry Henderson and Martha Marriott earned Imperial Scholar honors as Cecile Hall students.
