Purple eyes and black hair brushed neatly leftward give Jeeves a polished, handsome look on a tall frame. Around the Desmonds he never breaks formality, appearing exclusively in a black tuxedo and tie.

Initiative separates Jeeves from an ordinary servant. Drop him in a forest and he produces a gourmet meal from a pack; put his young master in danger and his reflexes answer before anyone else moves. He stays calm regardless of circumstance and hauls heavy loads for hours without complaint.

His loyalty runs deepest toward Damian, whom he nicknames Master Dammy. Understanding how estranged the boy is from his parents, Jeeves cheers him however he can, even lying about Donovan's attentiveness when the truth would wound, and fellow butlers accuse him of coddling for it. He privately hopes the Desmond children can shed the weight of their parents' station and chase happiness on their own terms. When coaching Damian on his political ambitions, though, his advice turns bluntly aristocratic, calling future constituents the common folk and those below.

Jeeves's voice first surfaces over a phone line in Chapter 25 of the manga, with his full debut arriving in Chapter 76, when he accompanies Melinda Desmond to bring Damian home after the Red Circus bus hijacking. He keeps both parents informed, reporting the boys' school lives to Donovan, including Damian's first-day incident, and discussing the young master's days with Melinda, among them the punch he took from Anya Forger. When Damian once requested cakes for a classmate, it was Melinda who personally chose them for Jeeves to deliver.

During a term-break treasure hunt he trails Damian through the woods, immobilizes a striking snake with a thrown acorn, cooks for the children alongside the other butlers, and pledges to lay down his life for his master if the need arises. He has also served Demetrius, dubbed Master Demmy, and appears in the past attending one of the elder son's study sessions with Donovan. Author Tatsuya Endo named him Jeeves in the belief that it was the classic Western butler's name, deliberately passing over Sebastian, the standard in Japanese media.
