The anime splits into two stories for the first time. Yor comes home with bandaged hands and a grim secret, cooking lessons at Camilla's aimed at saving her marriage from her own lethal food, while Franky recruits Loid to engineer a date with the cigar club clerk who has stolen his heart.
Loid grows wary of Yor's repeated late returns, especially when she arrives grim-faced with cuts across her hands and skips dinner, while Anya reads a troubling future from Bond in which Yor is crying. The truth is domestic: after a breakfast she made confined Loid to the toilet for an entire day, Yor asked her city hall coworkers for cooking help, and Dominic volunteered Camilla's talents. At Camilla's home, with Yuri drafted as taste tester, Yor bloodies the potatoes while peeling, slices clean through a cutting board, and produces a minestrone crowned with bones and a fish head that levels everyone who tries it; her meatballs fare no better. Yuri devours it all regardless, vomiting between shouts of praise.
Camilla pieces together that the orphaned siblings' palates were warped by years of eating only Yor's cooking and asks what their parents once made. Yuri recalls a stew their mother served with a fried egg on top, and Camilla walks Yor through a simple southern version, adding sour cream once she learns the Briars come from East Nielsberg. One spoonful lands both siblings back in their childhood. At home, Yor announces she is making dinner, and a braced Loid and Anya discover the stew is genuinely good; overcome, Yor cries with happiness, realizing the marriage now means more to her than cover for her contract killing. Her follow-up "Yor Forger original" promptly flattens them both.
In the second story, Franky announces he has fallen for Monica McBride, an employee at the Fifth Street cigar club, and pressures Loid into coaching him, sweetening the deal with the promise of a smaller listening device. Armed with a stalker-grade dossier and no idea how to use it, he rejects Loid's sprawling conversation flowchart and instead rehearses a date against Loid disguised as Monica. The real attempt dissolves into stammering, and Monica deflects his invitation with a vague promise to catch a movie someday. At a bar afterward, Loid stands the weeping informant an expensive drink and observes that men in their line of work cannot afford real attachments, advice Franky counters by pointing at Loid's own wife and daughter before pledging to drink the night away on the spy's tab.
Bond's vision of a crying Yor and her injured hands alarm the household.
Secret cooking lessons at Camilla's, with Yuri as taste tester, produce one disaster after another.
Recreating her mother's East Nielsberg stew gives Yor her first successful dish.
Loid and Anya's honest enjoyment moves Yor to tears over what her family has come to mean.
Franky's assisted pursuit of Monica McBride fails, ending with Loid consoling him at a bar.
This is the anime's first episode divided into segments, pairing Chapter 24 with Short Mission 2 under Haruka Tsuzuki's storyboard and direction; it aired October 22, 2022 in Japan and November 5 in English.
The closing beat between Dominic and Camilla is anime-original. The bar Franky visits is redesigned to match the one in Chapter 35, linking it to the bar Loid and Yor patronize in Episode 24. Camilla's front door is missing the gold knocker from Episode 2, Bond sits out the family outing where the Forgers meet Franky, and the manga's park scene with Yor and Anya is dropped.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Yor's cooking struggles take center stage in Episode 16, YOR'S KITCHEN, where she secretly takes lessons from Camilla after one of her breakfasts leaves Loid stuck in the bathroom for a day.
After a meal she made confines Loid to the toilet for an entire day, Yor asks her city hall coworkers for help, and Camilla volunteers to teach her, with Yuri drafted as the reluctant taste tester.
Guided by Camilla, Yor recreates the southern stew with a fried egg and sour cream that she and Yuri's mother once made in East Nielsberg, and it moves the whole Forger family.
The episode's second half follows Franky as he recruits Loid to coach him through a date with Monica McBride, an employee at the Fifth Street cigar club, an attempt that ends in stammering failure.
Anya reads a troubling vision from Bond showing Yor crying, which alarms the family before the truth is revealed to be Yor's secret struggles with cooking.
