Anya opens the episode angling for a snack she insists Damian owes her, then, after skimming his thoughts, asks to visit the Desmond home instead, boasting that their mothers have become friends. Damian bristles, dismissing the Forgers as social climbers chasing his family name, and Anya's heated retort about her family being serious gets misread as a romantic confession by everyone listening. At Berlint General Hospital, meanwhile, Twilight asks Fiona Frost to route him patients connected to Melinda, only to learn that every VIP case runs through the medical director. Gerald Gorey, a man who climbed on connections and seethes at Loid's effortless popularity, has also convinced himself his rival is courting Fiona, the woman he privately adores. His campaign of sabotage follows: a manufactured late arrival to a meeting, laxative-spiked coffee, toilet paper planted on Loid's shoe, even a clumsily forged love letter. Every scheme backfires, each one somehow making the staff adore Loid more, while Loid deliberately absorbs the abuse to keep the director placated.

Out of options, Gerald phones the SSS and brands Loid a spy. Two plainclothes agents search the office, discover planted evidence, and march Loid out in handcuffs while Gerald quietly celebrates. The arrest is theater: the agents are Franky and Fiona in disguise, having intercepted the call, and they flip the confrontation to expose Gerald as the informant, the forger of the evidence, and the author of assorted other misconduct. As they move to detain him, Loid pleads that the hospital cannot run without its director, and the spared, sobbing Gerald is left owing Loid everything, exactly as planned.

The second story opens at SSS headquarters with word that Billy Squire, who heads the far-left remnant of the Red Circus, has slipped back into Berlint after years abroad. Across town, Eden's first-year students ride toward the Berlint Museum, where Bill Watkins proposes a dinosaur-naming contest between classes and Anya keeps fumbling her attempts to charm Damian, at one point offering him a piece of Bond's kibble. Two buses abruptly leave the convoy's route. Billy and a female accomplice board Anya's bus, drop the protesting dorm tutor with a taser, and shred a pursuing car's tire with a shotgun blast before announcing to the terrified children that the Red Circus now controls their bus.

Gerald Gorey's vendetta becomes Twilight's opening; by orchestrating the fake arrest and then saving him from it, Loid gains leverage over the man who controls access to patients tied to Melinda Desmond.

Billy Squire, Bruce, and other Red Circus figures debut, and the hijacking of the Eden field-trip bus launches the Bus Hijacking Arc with Anya, Damian, Becky, and their classmates trapped aboard.

Anya's friendship campaign continues its losing streak, from the face-pulling paper toss to the dog-food offer, keeping her rivalry with Yor's scheme alive while accidentally spreading the rumor that she has a crush on Damian.

Part A adapts Chapter 67 and Part B adapts Chapter 69, with Chapter 68 skipped entirely. Anime additions include George Glooman eavesdropping on Anya and Damian, Gerald's fantasy sequences of Loid's humiliation, a chibi Franky popping in to confirm the spy accusation as a gag, Loid grabbing the disguised Franky to beg for Gerald's release, and extended shots of the Red Circus crossing Berlint and revealing the shotgun.

During the reveal of the fake arrest, Franky's and Fiona's true faces are superimposed over their disguises, an effect original to the episode.
