In the first segment, Cecile Hall's dorm tutor Thomas Austin, still shaken from his time as a Red Circus hostage, follows Henderson's recommendation and books a session with Loid at Berlint General Hospital. Loid, eyeing the man's ties to influential Eden alumni, happily takes the case, but inconsistencies in Austin's account convince him the hijacking is not the real problem. Fiona's digging confirms it: the symptoms predate the incident by months, and the true stressor is Austin's wife, whom he fears more than any terrorist. After the tutor's panicked denial gives way to recognition, Loid coaches him on confronting the fear and repairing the marriage, an exhausting process that leaves the spy musing that genuine marriages look difficult, while an eavesdropping Fiona daydreams that no quarrel could ever touch a marriage between her and Loid. Austin gradually finds his voice with his wife again and credits Loid with making his world a little more peaceful.

The second segment sends Yor out for overtime and then dinner with Camilla, Millie, and Sharon. Loosened by alcohol, she fields questions about life with Loid and can only list his virtues, so when her coworkers vent exaggerated complaints about their own partners, complete with joking talk of killing them, a drunk Yor takes it literally and scrambles to invent grievances of her own. Her spiraling anxiety produces a full assassination fantasy in which she seeks the Shopkeeper's blessing to kill Loid for the good of the marriage. The others read her antics as proof of a lovey-dovey household and insist a welcome-home kiss is standard practice, an idea that flattens her. Back at the apartment, Loid's simple greeting sends the panicked Yor collapsing, then vaulting away from his catch to avoid a repeat of her drunken headbutt, while Anya sleepily grumbles about her noisy, canoodling parents.

The post-credits third segment finds the boys of Cecile Hall watching a broadcast on the rocket rivalry between East and West, with Ostania pouring money into a program Damian suspects is being rushed to catch up. In class, Anya's paper rocket reveals a kindred adventurous spirit, and she and Ewen bond loudly over astronaut games. Damian, visibly jealous, tries to break in with a promise to make space travel accessible once he becomes a politician, but neither of them hears him, and Becky wryly suggests he try a louder voice if Anya's attention is what he wants.

Loid turns Austin's therapy into another strategic debt while diagnosing the tutor's insomnia as marital fear rather than hijacking trauma, and Austin's wife makes her first appearance.

Yor marks a milestone in her cover life with her first real night of drinks alongside the city hall crowd, where teasing about everyday intimacy with Loid sends her Garden-trained mind into pure panic.

The Ostania-Westalis race to space enters the story as a background thread, while Damian's jealousy over Anya and Ewen's rocket games pushes his feelings a little further into the open.

Part A adapts Chapter 77, Part B adapts Chapter 79, and Part C adapts Short Mission 10; Chapter 78 is skipped. The anime adds many small touches, including Fiona shown lurking behind the door during sessions, Loid pouring tea for Austin, Millie brandishing her fork while describing wanting to stab her partner, labeled omurice plates during Yor's invented gripe, and an added charge at Loid inside Yor's fantasy.

Programming adjustments delayed the Japanese broadcast twice, first by thirty minutes and then ten more on airing day, prompting a rebroadcast on December 13, 2025.
