Nursing the previous night's embarrassment, Yor wakes dreading the family breakfast just as Becky and Martha collect Anya for a zoo trip. Left alone, husband and wife talk past each other completely: Yor decides that airing complaints is what normal spouses do, while Loid frets that her drinking signals unhappiness with him. Her vague declaration that she has gripes about their entire life together lands at the worst moment, as Yuri walks in, hears everything, and demands the couple divorce. Yor floors her brother by ordering him out of her marital business, and when a hospital emergency pulls Loid away, she performs some parting complaints for authenticity. Yuri instead concludes Loid is off to meet a mistress and drags Yor into tailing him, though the Lieutenant's covert hand signals soon summon Yuri away, and Yor, sobering outside the hospital, admits her husband is no cheater and abandons the grievance hunt.

The real crisis takes shape inside: Fiona briefs Loid on a mole who has fled WISE headquarters in Westalis carrying classified material, including Operation Strix files. The traitor, Winston Wheeler, is a former WISE operative and Ostanian deep-cover agent linked to recent spy purges, now tracked to the border town of Shellbury. The SSS mobilizes too, unofficially, since the government will not risk relations with Westalis over stolen documents, and the Lieutenant notes the operation doubles as a prime chance to catch Twilight. Fiona proposes shutting down every active operation in Ostania, but Loid refuses, determined to recover the files and preserve Strix.

In Shellbury, WISE dons disguises while Wheeler slips into a motel, changes his look, and takes new orders by phone. Spotting WISE patrols from a rooftop, he approaches Yuri on the street and moves their rendezvous to a park. There the two sides feel each other out, with Wheeler citing the agreed recognition signal, a green tie set off by a tiepin bearing a yellow stone. When the detail is relayed to the SSS director, he meets his subordinate Jeffrey and reveals the trap: no agent was ever told the stone's true color, and different colors were seeded to different operatives to smoke out a leak. Jeffrey stands exposed as WISE's informant, and the SSS realizes in the same breath that the Winston in the park is Twilight in disguise. A post-credits scene follows Anya's zoo outing to a cage exhibiting humanity itself as the most dangerous animal, a point Becky accidentally proves by threatening to level the zoo with her father's tanks.

Winston Wheeler debuts as the arc's antagonist, a double agent whose theft of WISE files puts Operation Strix itself at risk, and the SSS quietly mobilizes to retrieve him while hoping to bag Twilight in the bargain.

The SSS director's gemstone-color trap exposes Jeffrey as the informant feeding WISE, and in doing so unmasks Loid's Winston disguise before the enemy agency.

On the domestic front, Yor stands up to Yuri over her marriage for the first time, and her search for artificial gripes ends with the realization that she has nothing to complain about.

The episode adapts Chapters 80 and 81, the opening pages of Chapter 82, and the Confidential Files bonus from Volume 12. Anime additions include Loid setting Anya's hat on her head, a tiny caricature of Yuri escaping with his breath as he sits stunned, Bond asleep under the coffee table, and Yor literally headbutting the floating kanji for gripes once she sobers up.

Several manga beats are trimmed, among them Yor's internal monologue about complaining, Yuri's private thrill at time with his sister, Chloe's jitters in Shellbury, and the two panels of the SSS director learning the gemstone color by phone.
