Winston Wheeler reels after taking a punch from Fiona Frost that no ordinary body should be able to throw. Her fury has burned away the mental limiters that normally keep human muscles in check, and she denounces him as a hollow man who meddles with the world for amusement because he trusts no one. Drawing power from her devotion to Loid Forger, she keeps pressing the attack even as the effort dislocates her arm and breaks her leg, finally knocking Winston out with a swing of the very limb she can no longer control.

Loid comes to before Fiona can land a killing blow and argues for taking Winston alive, since a captured operative of his rank carries intelligence value and leverage. He admits that his wounded arm came from Yuri Briar, whom he spared out of concern for Yor and Operation Strix, framing the choice in mission logic that Fiona privately calls unfair. With SSS forces closing in, a WISE colleague still wearing his Gascoigne disguise helps haul the prisoner out, and the agents slip clear of Shellbury, though the escape costs Westalis its mole inside the Secret Police.

Back home, Loid braces for a confrontation with Yor and instead receives a warm welcome; she confesses that her earlier complaints were invented to sound like a normal wife after talking with coworkers. Relief flattens him, and he asks her to run the household while he recovers. Yuri's sudden visit nearly unravels everything when a twitch in Loid's arm reminds him of the shot he put into Twilight, but a check of the sleeve turns up nothing, and Yor boots her brother out the door. The next day Sylvia Sherwood, posing as a nurse at Berlint General Hospital, looks in on the recovering Fiona, praises the capture, and teases her about feelings she has hidden poorly. At the Forger apartment, Anya shows off her zoo souvenirs while a jealous Bond imitates a lion, Franky drops by with supplies, and the season ends with Loid quietly working beside his sleeping family.

Fiona overpowers and captures Winston Wheeler despite dislocating her arm and breaking her leg mid-fight.

WISE extracts both agents and the prisoner from Shellbury undetected, losing its informant inside the SSS in the process.

Sylvia covers duties for both wounded agents while Fiona recuperates at Berlint General Hospital, closing out the Wheeler Arc and the season.

An insert song, Break a Neck, scores the fight between Fiona and Winston. Anya's closing dream sequence comes from Eugene Winter, the same animator behind the Todome no Ichigeki ending.

The adaptation shifts a line about the risk of sparing Winston from Loid to Fiona, adds a neighbor greeting Loid on his return, gives Yor extra dialogue insisting she prepare the tea, and reuses Fiona's training footage from Episode 23 where the manga showed her imagining Yor. Anya's dream adapts an extra page printed after Chapter 87 in Volume 13, while the closing image of Loid finding the whole household sound asleep exists only in the anime.
