Back in Berlint, Camilla, Millie, and Sharon unwind at a pub after work. Millie grumbles about Yor scoring a luxury cruise, Sharon points out it is a VIP escort duty, and Camilla passes along that the guest supposedly comes from Yor's hometown and travels with a child. While Millie imagines Yor feasting in style, her friends settle happily for beer and sausages.

The reality is less glamorous. At the ship's fine restaurant, the city hall men praise the cuisine while Yor and Furseal sit rigid with nerves, tasting nothing. Matthew kicks Yor's chair and murmurs that no professional would strike in public, that her family cannot enter this restaurant anyway, and that her job right now is simply to look natural.

Afterward the men descend for drinks while Yor walks Olka and Gram back. Olka remarks on the quiet day, but Yor cautions that the enemy's position and plan remain unknown, predicting a strike at the last viable moment, meaning tomorrow. Olka floats an idea: the ship docks at a resort island on day three, so once the handoff is done, Yor could spend that stop with her family. Yor cannot bring herself to commit.

At the buffet below, Anya devours plate after plate, then observes how odd dinner feels without Yor. Loid agrees and gets flustered when his daughter labels him sappy.

Nearby, Matthew notices a man shadowing the drinking party. Excusing himself, he circles behind the tail and ambushes him, snapping his arm to stifle any scream. Under brutal interrogation the assassin reveals that several independent killers are competing for the same bounty, fed by an informant who already knows Olka's alias and cabin number. Matthew finishes him and tips the body into the sea. Pressed afterward, Furseal admits he phoned his parents a farewell three days earlier, though he swears he shared nothing sensitive. Racing back, Matthew grasps that the enemy never planned to wait. Inside the cabin, a knock sounds at the door, and Yor wonders who is there.

Matthew captures, interrogates, and kills an assassin, learning that the operation has leaked: multiple independent killers are aboard, armed with Olka's cover identity and room number from an onboard informant.

Furseal confesses to a goodbye phone call made while in hiding, the likely source of the breach. Olka proposes that Yor rejoin her family at the resort island stop once the mission ends. The chapter closes with an unexpected knock on the protected cabin's door.

The pub where the city hall women eat carries the name Yasui, the Japanese word for cheap, a small gag about their budget dinner. The chapter illustration nods to the logo style of the Sakamichi Series idol groups, specifically Hinatazaka46, with the giraffe referencing captain Kumi Sasaki, who drew the original the image is based on.
