Kensho Ono

Ono voices Yuri Briar in the original Japanese version of Spy x Family, Anya's doting but dangerously obsessive uncle who works as an elite officer for the State Security Service. The character starts the series suspicious of his sister Yor's sudden marriage and spends much of the story digging into Loid's cover identity, giving Ono room to swing between comic overprotectiveness and genuine menace. It stands as one of the more high-profile assignments in his catalog of leading anime roles, alongside his long-running work as Tetsuya Kuroko and Giorno Giovanna.

Ono broke through playing the title character in Kuroko's Basketball and has anchored major franchises since, including Slaine Troyard in Aldnoah.Zero, Giorno Giovanna from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Yuya Sakaki over in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V series. His range extends into Hollywood dubbing work too: he provides the Japanese dub for Harry Potter across the film franchise and voiced Miles Morales in the animated Spider-Verse films. He has also played Muromachi Toji live, on stage in the Prince of Tennis musical series.
