Fei
CharacterFei was a Chinese ghoul tied to the Chi She Lian gang who died during a campaign to wipe out the group in China. The character never appears alive in the story, yet the kakuhou left behind becomes the quinque Douhi, a weapon whose origin later drives the Aogiri commander Tatara into a rage.
Appearance
The story preserves almost nothing of how Fei looked, recording only that this ghoul belonged to the ukaku class. No portrait or physical description accompanies the character, who surfaces through mention alone rather than any on-panel scene.
History
Fei ran with Chi She Lian, a ghoul outfit operating in China, and counted the future Aogiri lieutenant Tatara among close associates. When Kousuke Houji was stationed overseas, he joined a mission to destroy the gang, and Fei fell among those killed. The kakuhou recovered from the body was forged into the quinque Douhi, which Houji carried for a stretch before passing it down to his junior, Seidou Takizawa.
Much later, during the Owl Suppression Operation, Takizawa raised that weapon to guard himself and a bleeding Koutarou Amon. Tatara instantly knew the kagune as Fei's, and, consumed by fury, turned on Houji's protege in revenge.
