Kazene Mitsuba

She presents as an elderly woman quietly serving the Utsumi home, so close to the frail Koharu Utsumi that she treats the girl as her own daughter. No further physical description is given for her.

For much of her life she was an ordinary, supportive mother who backed Kotone's ambitions, only later steering her toward a steadier livelihood so she could earn a living. The disappearance of her elder daughter Kiyone, following a quarrel between them, unmoored her. She sank into depression and then delusion, coming to confuse her younger daughter with the child who had already died.

In her guise as Otokaze, she is often seen walking the delicate Koharu Utsumi around town. The truth surfaces when she stabs the hospitalized Yuujirou Utsumi, exposed as the man who, alongside his adopted ghoul children, abducted and devoured Kiyone eight years earlier. When Kotone comes to visit, she mistakes the young woman for the dead Kiyone and drifts off to sleep.
