Kazene Mitsuba, known to the Utsumi household as the housekeeper Otokaze, is the vanished mother of idol singer Kotone. Broken by the murder of her elder daughter at her own employer's hands, she slipped into delusion, mistaking her surviving child for the one she had lost.
She presents as an elderly woman quietly serving the Utsumi home, so close to the frail Koharu Utsumi that she treats the girl as her own daughter. No further physical description is given for her.

The truth surfaces when she stabs the hospitalized Yuujirou Utsumi, exposed as the man who, alongside his adopted ghoul children, abducted and devoured Kiyone eight years earlier. When Kotone comes to visit, she mistakes the young woman for the dead Kiyone and drifts off to sleep.
