History

Years earlier the three share a baseball team, until Ryou quarrels with Fura and takes up with Aki. One evening his crew flees a pursuit by the Tokyo Police and ducks into an alley, where Ryou and Aki talk about how much they miss Fura. There the pair encounter Lantern, who displays the severed heads of two gang members and lunges at them. As they flee, Fura shows up and Aki loses an eye to the ghoul. Ryou takes a fatal impaling while shoving Fura clear, and with his last words he tells his friend he ought to have stuck with baseball.
