Personality

His mind works slowly, to the point that he cannot manage something as simple as opening a suitcase on his own. Speech comes hard for him too: his words are poorly formed, often no more than a single term, and he tends to repeat that one over and over. When Madam A coos at him as though he were a baby, he answers by calling her Mama.

History

When Shuu Tsukiyama brought Ken Kaneki to the Ghoul Restaurant, Taro took the stage as the scrapper for its dismantling show. He carved up Kobachi first, then ran down Ami and roasted her, before turning on Kaneki, only for his saw to dull against the young ghoul; at that, Tsukiyama, going by MM, called for a quinque saw to be handed over. The fight swung back and forth, with Kaneki snapping Taro's left arm even as a paralyzing gas forced into Kaneki's lungs handed Taro the advantage.

Once MM grasped that Kaneki was a one-eyed ghoul, he badly wounded Taro and offered him up as a meal to the other patrons in Kaneki's place, a trade Madam A accepted. Months afterward, Akihiro Kanou remarked that one of his test subjects was progressing along what he called the Taro-chan course.
