Summary
Squad leader Kuki Urie and his subordinate Ginshi Shirazu comb through the city chasing the ghoul serial killer known as Torso, who murders women and consumes their torsos. A photographer named Chie Hori supplies them with a crucial lead, revealing that Torso works as a taxi driver.
Team member Tooru Mutsuki locates the driver and is attacked, which lets Kuki and Ginshi close in and try to funnel the killer into a roadblock trap. Instead a formidable ghoul called Serpent appears and slaughters the officers manning the blockade, letting Torso slip away.
