The tenth episode of the second season brings Kaneki back from within his own mind just as Furuta weaponizes the Dragon's poison, spreading a plague that turns humans into ghouls and forces Kaneki to resolve to fight on.
Adrift in his own inner world, Kaneki finds clarity through a heartfelt talk with Rize and steps back out of it. Touka recovers his body, and the group brings him to CCG headquarters, where he wakes. Seeing humans and ghouls now standing together for a common cause, he tours the city with Urie and Yonebayashi. Furuta then broadcasts footage of the Dragon's monsters attacking civilians, revealing that they carry a poison capable of turning any human into a ghoul.
Kaneki and the others rush to the scene, only to be set upon by those same creatures, and Yonebayashi is poisoned in the fray. Kaneki destroys the monsters, and back at headquarters they learn that Yonebayashi and everyone else who inhaled the toxin has become a ghoul. Afterward Kaneki reunites with Hide and makes him take off his mask so he can face directly what he did to him. As the hour ends, Kaneki commits to striking back with the help of everyone around him.
Kaneki emerges from his mental world after speaking with Rize and regains consciousness at CCG headquarters. Furuta broadcasts the Dragon monsters' assault and exposes their ghoul-inducing poison. Yonebayashi is poisoned and, along with all who breathed it in, transforms into a ghoul. Kaneki reunites with Hide, confronts what he did to him, and resolves to fight back with his allies.
The title puns on "recall." The episode adapts a selection of Tokyo Ghoul:re chapters. Manga details differ: Kaneki does not recall his pre-Dragon events after waking; much of his talk with Rize is trimmed; Touka is not shown fighting the Dragon Orphans while recovering him; and his body stays unchanged after his release rather than transforming. The scene of Furuta and V welcoming the new Dragon, Rize, from a cocoon is also cut.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
