Gameplay

Players gacha-summon from a roster of roughly 100 characters spanning Tokyo Ghoul, root A, and Tokyo Ghoul:re, then build six-person teams. Battles run on a tap-combo system: tapping character icons attacks and chains into combos that fill a skill gauge for manga-accurate special moves. Three modes round out the loop, Territory Battle where ghouls and investigators fight over control of Tokyo, plus Strike and Raid modes. 3D models mix with 2D art and voiced cutscenes.

Premise

The game has no single throughline story, instead pulling characters and events from across the Tokyo Ghoul, root A, and re storylines into its gacha roster and battle stages. Its Territory Battle mode reframes the manga's ghoul versus CCG conflict as an ongoing tug-of-war over the city.
