Arima Squad

Arima Squad began as the personal unit of Kishou Arima. In the Owl Suppression and Rushima Landing operations it worked under the codename Squad 0, charged with cutting down any ghouls escaping through the underground tunnels and with stopping the Non-Killing Owl should it break through from below. The team first stepped forward just before the decisive clash with the One-Eyed Owl.

The squad resurfaced during the Auction Mopping-up Operation as part of the larger S3 Squad, where its hooded members cornered a wounded Hinami Fueguchi before Haise Sasaki claimed her and spared her life. Afterward Arima hunted Shachi with two of his members, defeating the ghoul even as those two fell. When the Third Cochlea Raid came, the unit was set to defend Cochlea and clashed with Ayato Kirishima, Touka Kirishima, and Renji Yomo, losing several members in the fighting. Following Arima's death, the survivors turned on the CCG, helped Kaneki slip out of Cochlea, and threw in with the Goat organization.

Arima himself led the squad until his death, with Koori Ui serving as his assistant before a transfer to S1 Squad. Its ranks included Hairu Ihei, Haise Sasaki, Akira Mado, Rikai Souzu, Shio Ihei, Yusa Arima, and Take Hirako, who later resigned to work at a mortuary. The unit was unusual for being made up mostly of half-humans, with only Ui, Hirako, and Mado known to be fully human, and its members famously carried near-identical quinque resembling IXA or the katana Yukimura 1/3.
