Overview

Among the several ghoul crews that once shared the 20th ward, Futamaru set itself apart with the ladybug design worn across its masks. It never held up for long against the Kirishima siblings; a heavy share of its ranks died in clashes with Touka and Ayato. Not a single member was ever given a name in the story.

Role

Well before the main story, Futamaru counted among the various gangs holding turf in the 20th ward. When the Kirishima siblings killed one of its leaders, the gang set out to trail the pair and settle the score. Catching Touka in conversation with a human, Shouta's father, they seized the man as leverage to corner her. That plan unraveled the moment Ayato stormed in and cut down the remaining members with a sudden strike.

Afterward, a lone survivor slipped into the 5th ward. Akira Mado, a trainee studying at the Ghoul Investigator Training Academy there, picked up the case and met Shouta, who begged her to avenge his father. Combing through newspapers and old case files, she pinpointed the ghoul's hideout and lured it into a trap, where Kureo Mado cut the Futamaru member down and seemed to wipe out the group's final survivor.

Notable Members

Futamaru never had a member identified by name, so it is remembered chiefly through those who brought it down. The Kirishima siblings scattered its main body, while the Mado pair, Akira and Kureo, finished off its last survivor at the grieving Shouta's urging.
